A reminder of what not to do in a bloggament

Don't try to check-raise a blogger off an overpair, even if you have eleven outs twice (an overcard and an open-ended straight draw).

Why not?

Because you have no fold equity. Even if you have them covered and your raise is more than pot-sized. Bloggers just won't fold in that situation.

Fold equity and a blogger tournament. Never heard those two terms used together in a sentence before. Is it even possible for those two to exist together? I don't believe it.

would you fold an overpair in one of those tournies?

I have -- rarely, but I have. And I don't snapcall with them on dangerous boards, either.

That being said, I'm not arguing strongly that going to the felt with an overpair is wrong. I'm just saying they often get overplayed.

Wait, I don't get it... did you win a MTT recently? I'm confused with your comment...

No; but I'm planning to be in Vegas at the same time as Hoy and Cmitch etc.
